Packing out of control

I tried a limelight pack command and it kept going and going. After I canceled it, it was over 2 gigs.
Tried it again, and it was over 4 gigs and still going.
jruby -S limelight pack . -n name_of_prodcution
did it again like
jruby -S limelight pack .
and it produced a small file with ..llp, which i renamed and it worked
