Animation is slow within a slideshow

The "Here Boy" animation, when displayed within a slideshow in limelight_docs is choppy. The Animations walkthrough's 4th slide (Example Animation) can be looked at to see this problem (commit 523a86d of limelight_docs).

The choppiness was caused by multiple paints.... one to clear the previous location of the text and one to paint to new location of the text. I was able to smooth it out by merging to dirty regions cutting the number of paints in half.
