Limelight installer
Reported by Enrique Comba Riepenhausen | May 20th, 2009 @ 10:36 AM | in Future
This is actually more a feature request than anything else.
It would be nice if the client installer would be absolutely zero entry level so that the hurdle to install Limelight for the common user (your sister, aunt, etc) would be lowered completely.
Currently the client installer requires Java to be installed in the system beforehand. There are many people who don't really know how to install this things (one of the reasons Java didn't really make it into the desktop; apart from the UI libs ;) ).
If the client installer would install Java in the system (if not present) it would improve drastically the acceptance of it as less technical savvy people could install the client and be up and running without any requirement apart form having a computer...
Cheers!
